Life is life

Well, this week so far has been...decent. yes, decent. it's been ok i guess. practically the only important thing we have this week is the history project which is more arty than work so it helps me either get my mind off of stuff or makes me think about them. WHichever one i want. Ironic, right? well, life is ironic, so i guess it's ok.

OMG i cant believe im saying this but.... I actually like this history project. i guess it has to do with the topic, the people in your group and the stuff you have to do. all three of those. but seriously, i can not believe i am saying stuff like this about HISTORY. i mean, it's HISTORY we're talking about. not math. not english. HISTORY. ok, i think you get the point. MAJOR THING :)

ummm, what else? oh i have to do the history project as soon as i come home on wednesday. it should be fun i guess. THursday: Damla has her prom. SO I guess I'll help her get ready. Adn Friday, Idk. I can't plan that far. Not with this mind. :)

In exactly 4 hours and 40 minutes, everyone selected into NHS will be inducted. YAY!!! *clap clap* lets just hope its interesting and mr. sandord actually wrote my speech. haha imagine. oh no. actually dont :P

SPRING BREAK

yes, finally its here. but im not so sure i want it anymore. of course i cant wait to see everyone including my family and friends like yasemin, arzu, asli a. and aysha(havent seen her in 10 years). but everyone is staying here. you know what i mean? i was so excited until yesterday afterschool and everyone just thought i was weird. which is pretty normal for me. but today, everyone was excited about spring break and how i got to go somewhere. in fact, some people were more excited than me. which is pretty weird. but cool. anyways, i hope everyone will have fun whereever they are.

SPRING BREAK <333

I cant wait. 2 more days baby...then i'll be in one of my favourite places in the world : Turkey.
THere's been too much stress on me lately and i seriously need and long for a break. we've had the history timeline plus the test, the math olympiad, grease, math test, lit Catcher in the Rye, and all these other random stuff. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, right?

So, we're done. It's over. All that hard work. All those days where everyone almost starved to death because we didn't "look hungry." All those days where I wish I said things to people that I never could. All those times I swore at people who deserved it( really, thay did). All those days I wished I hadn't done what I had done and finally all those days where I craved to be a normal girl who was practically an anti-social person. It's done. It's over. And now I'm ashamed. For wanting those stuff adn getting pissed at not getting them and more importantly, for not seeing what I had in my hands until I lost them. yes, I know it sounds cliche but its ture: you don't realise the worth of something until you lose it. But enough of that all sad stuff. I think I'm starting to sound like an old person. Let's be happy. Or pretend at least:

OMG TUESDAY WAS GREAT. well actually, lemme start form monday. my parents came on monday and the crowd consisted practically only of teachers and parents AKA the old generation. meaning that either they are too lazy to clap or they just don't get the jokes that were meant to be funny for their time. one of the two. yeah so monday, we made a few mistakes but that's ok. I thought the crowd actually cheered a lot for the number of people in the audience. so i thought our opening night was pretty good. that was of course until tuesday. TUESDAY WAS

seriously, you know the part after the first song we all sing grease is the word like 12 times, well you shud have seen the crowd shouting and cheering at that part!!! OMG we were all shouting with excitement when we got off stage after that scene and our excitement and energy lasted for the entire play. if I had to describe that night's performance with one word, it would be: terrific. And I'm telling the truth. Ask anyone.

Wednesday was ok. The crowd was pretty huge but the audience was only parents and a few students who couldn't come during the week cuz of their homework. so they weren't as loud as we expected. i mean, compared to monday, they were good but after having a blast of a performance on tuesday, wednesday's performance seemed like it didn't really have much spice for the Grease cast. But the people who came yesterday thought it was "pretty good." I'm serious, everyone uses those words for some reason. Very trite. haha vocab word. I actually remember it. YAY MR SANFORD.

Oh and today I had to wake up at 7 and I had to work at the Turkish Charity Bazaar from 8am till 7pm. It was very tiring but I got 11 service hours so whatever. But of course, the best part was I got to eat manti and Mado dondurma. Aren't you sad you didn't have any.

GREASE!!!

tomorrow, Grease WILL be the word. inshallah. if we live that long. hopefully. yeah, all that hard work for over 120 hours for the past two months will hopefully pay off starting tomorrow at 7 o'clock un til wednesday 9 pm (the minute we bow). Part of me wants all fo this to be over so that I can move on with my life and live like a normal teen and come home ON TIME on half-days. But the other part keeps nagging me about the things i've earned throughout this whole activity. and i'm not just talking about 50 service hours becuase I couldn't care less about them. I'm talking about friendship, meeting new people and most importantly, UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF FOOD because we weren't allowed to eat for a long time during the rehearsals. So, yeah, I seriously hope we're amazing all three nights. I know we'll be great if we focus during the scenes and organise who's scene comes when and stuff. Becuase we all know our lines (*cough 10 SECONDS cough*) but the problem i think we're having is which props we have to remember to use during the scenes and when we come on stage. OH WELL, ENOUGH OF ALL THAT CRAP BECAUSE MY HEART SERIOUSLY IS BEATING FASTER THAN THE NUMBER OF HAIRS I HAVE ON MY HEAD PER SECOND> haha i like that description :)

OH, as if all of this stress wasn't enough, Sama just made my day when she told me my best friend was taking HL math. How exciting. *ahem ahem* I can't wait until we're in the same class with dana, michelle and JP so that we can all be life long frineds. (sorry sama, thats another line from grease that i couldn't resist saying) in fact, its anggie's line to menna.

So yeah, I hope I can actually sleep tonight. Wish me luck! Oh, all grease members: BREAK A LEG!!!

BORN TO HAND JIVE

yeah, i actually like the title of my blog entry today. except, im seriously SO bored, not born!!! :P yeah, yesterday i was packed with stuff to do. today: NOTHING.
yesterday, I had grease from 9.30 to 3 and then we went to Hina's house. We ate texas and krispy kreme. :) SO YUMMY! :9 then of course we did the frnech story thingy and we filmed and stuff until 8.15. then i left and went out to this Iranian restaurant with my family and i was exhausted the moment i came home. today, i was WOKEN UP by some people. how sad. I did my homework the whole day and now im bored. yeah, and i'll be grease-ing at this time in exactly 3 days!!! agH! *nervous breakdown* hope we do well. oh, and mujhe bhook lag rahi hai! i better go eat something. oh and tr, jsut stf up! seriously! im sick of all your crap. get a life. and you know what, treat others like you want to be treated and tum yalanlarindan sikildim artik. YETER!!!

SO, when I woke up this morning, I thought that the most exciting thing I would do today was eat a burger at 6pm during th eGrease rehearsal with Hina. No kidding. (btw YJ, this would NOT be very exciting) haha anyways, but like always, I was wrong. Da da da duuuuum.

So we were in history hearing the same old racist lecture about what the history teacher thinks by "not offending anyone." haha SUUUURE. thats what YOU think. anyways, so we didn't really realise what was going on until the Henry guy said that tehre was a "slight" sand storm outside and that we should close all the windows. I was expecting just a bit of dust when I heard the word "slight" but the second I turned around, I knew it was much more than that. I could see blazing orange light as if it was coming from a fire reflected on our classroom windows. We all just shook it off after a few minutes and we thought it was just a temporary sand storm. But when the bell rang for us to go to our next classes, the fire alarm accidently went off becuase it was affected by the sand or something. Yeah, so after a while, we finally got the thumbs up to go to our next classes. It was chemistry where we just chilled and called our parents to make sure that everything was ok. The sad thing was that I was the one who called my mom and dad saying I was ok, not them. Sad, yes it was very sad. At 2.35, we were sent to the theatre where each student was called one by one when their transportation arrived. All of the after school activites were cancelled because of the sand storm including the basketball tournament and our Grease rehearsal. So basically, we lost 4 hours of practice today. There might not be school tomorrow which practically everyone wants. I mean I need one more day to chill, especially with all of this Grease stuff going on. But I'm afraid we wont be ready for the actual show for next monday. I mean we have less than a week and I have to say that we are not ready. Not yet. We need time. And practice.
Oh, hi sama. I hope you get better soon. Oh, and seriously, we have to talk about something starting with a "w". LOL you know I'm kidding.
Let's hope for the best and I hope that whatever happens, people will stay safe.

OMG. I seriously have to get a life. At 10.30, my Grease life started and it didn't end until 5:15. that's even longer than a normal school day and it's a weekend today! wth? well, we actually did get alot of stuff done today. but STILL! so we did the last song in the play (we go together) a couple of times and then we started from the beginning of the play and did most of the scenes until the dance competition (included) like twice of something. So that was actually good. It was like 2.30 when we finished all of that. the ensembles left and we all went to the caf to eat. i feel bad for the t-birds because they only got to eat for like 2 secs before mr. donavan called them for recording. and they didn't finish until 4.15! we were all supposed to leave at 4.30. so basically we had only 15 minutes for the pinks. how the hell can we record a whole frickin' song in 15 minutes. so we had to stay until 5 and we got only part of the song right. OMG! so my weekend started around 6 this evening and i only have more day of it left. how sad. seriously. oh, and did i tell u that as if all of this stuff isnt good enough, someone comes and asks me if i want to be in the one act plays next october. HMM(does weird pinkie movement mr. sanford does) :P

OH and i forgot, may Mr. K's wife's grandpa (94 year old guy) RIP.

and they all hurt twice as much as the previous hit. so u do the math. speaking of math, i dont know what happened to me. but i know something did. because it just doesnt sink into my head. and people have high expectations and they make fun of me when i dont "get it". What the hell? look at your own stupid actions you bitch who was almost going to be kicked out of alg. 2trig at the beginning of the year!! seriously. get a life. oh and stop making your paki best friend write your english composition essays. oh and lit....i seriously hate deers now. and canyons, and cars, and the color red and the words dragging and rolling. WTF??
yeah so going back to PE. i made 2 shots today. i missed a few but that's ok. my team revolved around 3 ppl: moiz, taj and hyoung. And hyoung only cuz he's good. me, anggie and sama were like, hmmm lets just stop running from one of the side of the court to the other and etc. LOL and yeah sama was the playmaker (the person who made the people shoot) and anggie was the best stealer ever. YAY! but it took the guys like THE WHOLE BLOCK to understand that we weren't only "just there" and we could actually do something. oh well, at least they said, "nice try"

yeah so the grease rehearsals are taking up alot of my time. i have to go for 6 hours today. adn i had to stay on a wednesday for 2 hours as well. Let's hope we actually do a good job in the end.

TOO MUCH WORK

I have too much work to do. Grease. SAT course. NHS application. TWAC earth hour stuff. Math Olypiad stuff for Math Club. School work. History test. PE BBall quiz. Lit quiz. and all the other minor stuff that i cant even spend time to think about. SO, my academic life has pretty much invaded me. how nice. just hope i'll survive it. I keep remembering how hectic it was when I had to go for French lessons. God help me!

Oh, to those people who have more free time: live your life, because you're going to need it.

IT IS WEDNESDAY! YAY! this week was SOOO long but today was weird. First of all, practically everyone was at the MUN conference, some were actual delegates, some were "note passers" (people who didn't want to go to French) and others who had to go cuz of orchestra. So basically, there were lyk less than 10 people in my last 2 blocks. It was quiet. It was too quiet. But u noe what, sometimes it being too quiet is good. Cuz u get to think about how different the environment is and u realise the importance of the people who aren't there. SO I guess it's good to realise but not fun to be alone. :) How nice for some people :)
Anyways, school is different. Well, acutally its still the same old AIS-R. But our friends are different. Yeah, that's it. So there are so many "couples" in our group of friends. Well, I guess they used to be our friends but now they don't even hang out with us like they used to. There's Yj and Cj, Liyana and Raed. Oh and there's JP and Michelle but we're used to that. At least I guess so. YJ doesnt even realise we're alive and Liyana has changed so much since she came. Well, I think Raed changed her. I mean, they have the same LAUGH! oh and WHO WUDNT BELIEVE THAT SAMA DIDN'T HAVE A PET SNAKE IN PAKISTAN??!!! WHO? Nobody! Nobody except her. anyways...lets talk about nice things and NOT PEOPLE WHO DITCH THEIR FRIENDS JUST LIKE THAT SO SOME RANDOM GUY!

SO, Sama's parents are going to Dubai. SO we can't meet up or anything. But that's ok. Cuz next wednesday right at this time, we'll be ordering pizza, going bowling, taking video and pictures and of course having so much fun that you wish you'll be there! So that should be fun. I still have to ask my mom but I'm 99% sure she'll say yes. I just hope Sama can come cuz we've been planning for so long. But i have a feeling that this time it will happen. It shall. It has to.

So it's wednesday! yay! and i dont have anything major to do. so i guess it'll be relaxing. Im happy. You know why :)
